Hello again friend. Today I wanted to talk about something that I'm trying to work on and change in my life. And that is the fact that I'm shy with a lot of things I am passionate about and love doing.

This would be totally okay and normal if I was a shy person but the thing is I am a very opposite. I have no problem talking to strangers, I love meeting new people, going to new places I'm not afraid of saying my opinion and standing up for myself. So it is very confusing to me that I'm shy about thing that I work on and enjoy.


I started to write short poems and stories when I was very little and over the years writing become a great love of mine. But I was afraid and shy about it and I kept it for myself for a lot of years. In one point of my life I would get almost panic attacks when someone just asked me could I show them what I'm writing. That opened my eyes and I decided that I have to do something about it. And when it comes to other things in life that I'm scared of I tend to push myself into doing them so I can get over that fear (or confirm it) so I decided that I'm going to use this tactic in this case too. I started showing my work to people I trust and they were very pleasantly surprised and supportive so I pushed myself even harder and showed some of my work to my literature professor and she was also very supportive and she helped me get better. And now I made this blog as one more step in my fight with this strange shyness.


I can't say that I'm totally over it yet but I'm making progress and I wanted to write about this here because I know that I am not the only one with this problem and I wanted to say to y'all that only you can make it better.


I like to believe that everyone of us is one in a kind and have a specific gift from mother nature. So if you don't show the world what you have and love and what makes you you, what makes you special you are wasting  your gift and your life.
